GHM 38 (Tube and Berger)
German House Mafia Podcast SeriesEverybody talks about Tube & Berger at the moment. They present themselves expressively with their charity project "It began in Africa" and the accompanying single "Free Tribe, " which made it to No. 1 on the Beatport charts. The project was published to support the children in need of help in Africa on their label Kittball Records, which they founded in 2006 and, since early 2010 both of them collaborate with their friend and Dj Juliet Sikora. In addition to publishing the productions on their own label, Tube & Berger make music on labels like Great Stuff Recordings, Moonbootique, Trapez, Ministry of Sound, and others. Many of their singles reached international attention and succeeded even up to No. 1 on the US Billboard Dance charts. Just to name a few: "Straight Ahead”, “The Young and the wild ones”, “Free Tribe”, or “Human You “.They expressed the essence of the powerful and slightly playful "Tube & Berger” sound. It all started with a punk band in the early nineties which has developed into a Tech House Act over the years. Both of them, however, could not and would not give up the punk attitude until today. Tube & Berger is just a bit different. That is what extinguishes them from the others.

You can find his tracks and remixes on some of the hottest labels in dance music today, including Top Billin, No Brainer, Wearhouse, Coco Machete, Moonbootique and Discobelle.2011 has been a big year for Lars with three original releases to his name, all of them reaching the German Club Chart top 10 and collecting big love from influential names across the globe. Most recently it was Lars Moston's "Too Much Party Time EP" doing the business. Released on Malente's label No Brainer Records and coming with a crazy video which was filmed in Paris, he got heaps of praise from the likes of A-Trak and Congorock, who called "The Oohs", one of three originals on the the EP, "next level".Before that, the “Can’t Stop / People EP” on Top Billin, a collaboration with fellow Berliner Ben Mono, had such diverse supporters as Zombie Nation, Crookers, Mason, His Majesty Andre, Stereo MCs and Tepr. And hot on the heels of this heavy slab of house music was “Organik”, released by Coco Machete from New York. It followed in the anthemic footsteps of “So Sick”, which was released on Wearhouse Music and played by BBC Radio One before ripping up countless festivals.Moston & Malente have been big in the game ever since their first release "In the Sky" on Hamburg-based Moonbootique Rec. became a worldwide club hit back in 2004. Since then, the duo has put out a whole bunch of massive tracks, most recently “Oh My God” and “I Go Round”, also on No Brainer.Lars also loves remixing, which he has been doing to great acclaim. Among the artists getting the Moston treatment have been Smalltown DJs, Human Resource, Tony Senghore, DJ Wool, Si Begg, Jay Robinson & Supabeatz, Fort Knox 5, The Raveonettes and Jaimie Fanatic to name a few. When DJing, Lars Moston mixes up unique, energetic sets made up of cutting edge House, lots of unreleased material and his own edits. Combining a bit of tongue in cheek humour with dance floor functionality, Lars’s sets are raising roofs all over the place and he has headlined shows from San Francisco to Siberia with positive, in-your-face electronic party sound.Links:
